JNV ( Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya ) is a concept put forward by the
then Prime Minister ( Rajeev Gandhi ) of India way back in 80s under the umbrella of National Education Policy 1986. It is fulfilling the dreams of many by standing true to the idea of imparting a high qualityeducation to the children belonging to the predominantly rural class family. Let the good quality education alone, Jnv is doing its best in fostering brotherhood among the different sections of the society leaving communalism, casteism and regionalism far behind. It also promotes respecting and knowing the cultures of the whole country by devising a new method of Migration System in Jnv, hence promoting integrity and fraternity among all the countrymen. Being learned does not mean you are a well educated person unless or untill some sense of humanism radiates from your day to day work and thinking. And for sure Jnv is far better than other schools across the country in making students learn a lots of experience at a very tender age. Being an Ex-Jnvian, I owe so much to the Jnv, its teachers and the systems as well. It was an experiment by Rajiv Gandhi, and decades passed, even after the success of their mantras, the government never paid much more attention to this and never thought of expanding it in wider and newer dimensions. They are just fulfilling the formalities of running the proposed scheme as they can't close it. I want to draw the attention of the educationist towards JNVs and request them to read and research again on such a nice scheme, as it could do wonders in the future of India's education if it will be expanded to a new dimension like opening its own engineering and medical college and every department under the same name that too by increasing the number of Jnv schools to manifold and by giving some quota to the navodayans in those institutions who is economically deprived which will ensure the safety of the economically challenged students in not letting their talents go in vain. It will provide a platform via which a chain of education centres across the country can be connected under one name. It is sad to mention here that the theme of imparting good quality education gets violated the same time when the poor students comes out of Jnv after completing their Under Graduate studies. And they found himself standing alone on the roads of sufferings due to economic problems coming as a barrier in between. As we all know, being in the aura of competition, survival of the fittest is entertained so you can't make your dreams true, even if you are lacking only 1 thing. And that is where many of Jnv students got stuck in between when it comes to a financial need. It is really a matter of concern as many talented students are not getting what they deserve. Why many of the students are leaving school after 10th class? Why JNVian even after securing above 90% marks are not doing good and unable to make it to the prestigious engineering and medical colleges of the country? There is really a need of serious thinking to sort out these problems. I request the students, teachers, and the connected honourable officers to come on a platform to devise some methods to take our school to a newer dimensions. Come Unite and let the government know the ways by which reforms can be made in expanding Jnv and put forward our demands. In this way the government could pave the way for the
economically challenged and lower sections of the society to get
connected with the mainstream and thus bridging the gap which is constantly getting wider and wider between the upper class and lower as
well as lower middle class family.
